Emergency Warden Awareness
OVERVIEW
Our combined Emergency Warden Awareness training course is designed to provide the skills and knowledge required to work within the command, control, and coordination structure of an Emergency Control Organisation (ECO). An ECO's priority is the safety of facility occupants and visitors during an emergency which means ECO members are responsible for pre-emergency, emergency, and post emergency actions.
Regular evacuation training will ensure that your personnel are ready to deal with any workplace emergency.
Part of our course includes undertake pre-emergency planning, taking appropriate actions in an emergency and assisting with post emergency activities.

PRE-ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
Fitness to Participate – the physical capability to meet the demands of the practical demonstration (i.e. using equipment assigned to assist with implementing the workplace emergency procedures and providing assistance to those in need during an evacuation).
Language, literacy, and numeracy (LLN) skills are required to communicate, complete, undertake written and practical assessment activities. If you have any concerns regarding the LLN requirements, please contact our training department on 1300 144 653 for assistance.
CERTIFICATION
Upon successful completion of the training and assessment for this course, participants will be issued with a Certificate of Attendance.
REFRESHER
Australian Standard AS 3745-2010 Planning for emergencies in facilities recommends that refresher training for Emergency Warden should be completed annually.
